A lot of modern locksmithing has become "pull it off, put a new one on." We do that when it's genuinely the right call — but our background is mechanical, and our first instinct is to repair. Locksmithing is a security industry — in Queensland it requires a licence for good reason: you're letting someone work on the thing that keeps your family safe.
